Flu season in Maine typically begins in December, and lasts until March. Influenza, or the flu, usually lasts about a week, and typically includes symptoms like high fever, headache, cough, sore throat, and a runny nose. For the young, the elderly, and people with certain medical problems, the flu can be a serious health risk. But there are ways that you can keep yourself and your loved ones healthy. (Maine CDC)
